When you see the shot you want, your camera is right at hand and ready to use. The Luma Loop redefines your relationship with your camera.
All Day Comfort: The Loop features an innovative curved shoulder pad that redistributes your camera's weight on your body. Most strap shoulder pads are straight which puts all the load on one part of your shoulder. Even simple curved straps don't help as much as they could. To find a better solution, we used SolidWorks CAD and finite element analysis to determine the best shape and materials to use.
The result is a combination of leather and aerospace-grade raw neoprene. The leather's organic fibers allow it to conform to curves while distributing load far better than fabric. The neoprene provides the right amount of cushion and a whole lot of grip so that the Loop doesn't slide around.
The Loop's pad doesn't simply sit on your shoulder, it grips it. The weight of normal SLRs almost vanishes. Even heavy SLRs—such as the Nikon D3 or Canon 1D—can be carried for much longer than with your regular camera strap.

The Loop is a camera sling, an adaptation of the kinds of slings that infantry soldiers have long used to carry their rifles. It's not the first camera sling on the market. Our implementation, however, offers a minimal design that emphasizes comfort and flexibility within a minimal aesthetic. Nothing is included that isn't essential.
Flexible Attachement System: The Loop is adaptable to your equipment and however you'd like to carry it. It uses a simple Lanyard to connect to any available mounting point on your camera, including the normal shoulder strap mount points which are expressly designed to carry a hanging load. You can also use the strap attachment point or d-ring built into many tripod mount plates.
One Lanyard is included with every Loop. You can also order additional Lanyards if you have more than one camera.
Universal Sizing: The Loop comes in a single size designed to adjust to fit almost everyone. If, for any reason, it doesn't fit, we'll work with you to get you a Loop that fits perfectly. Guaranteed.
The Loop is shipped configured to wear on the left shoulder. We surveyed a group of test subjects and found the majority preferred this setup, even those that are left-handed. This may be because SLR cameras are designed with a right-handed grip. That said, it's straightforward to setup the Loop to be worn on the right shoulder. We even have a video that shows how.

Solid Construction: Using US-made mil-spec nylon webbing, select US-made Durflex buckles and hardware, and the best neoprene and leather we can source, the Loop is designed to carry your camera safely and securly. Manufacturing—including cutting, sewing, and assembly—is performed in Portland, Oregon. By using local vendors, not only do we help our local economy, we run lean and elminate unecessary storage.
